The wedding ceremony is the brightest and the troubles period of life of couple. This is a day when all dreams seems came true and there is nothing more to want. It is a day when the bride and groom are in the spotlights and everyone tells them about how beautiful couple they are. One should take all that can be taken from this day as there will be no such day anymore. Once the wedding is over the life begins, and as a rule there are a number of troubles and misunderstandings in this life. Sure, there is also a honey moon, but there are no people who would say how gorgeous they are and no people will assure them that there are no two people in the earth as happy as they are.

So, there was no wedding at first, there was a simple ceremony of proclaiming a woman as a wife and a man as a husband. It is hard to state whether it is right or wrong to neglect such traditions, but if there is a tradition there for sure was a reason for its appearance.

Another wedding tradition common for all countries and nation without any exceptions is a wedding dress. No matter on the nationality of a bride, no matter on religion she professes and country she lives in she still wants to wear a wedding dress. Though, there is a difference between wedding dresses typical for different cultures. In a number of countries it is common that wedding dress should be of white color. It is a symbol of innocence and tenderness. That is why the wedding customs of most cultures forbid wearing of white dress for those women who get married for the second or third time.

Something new, something blue and something borrowed is another wedding tradition typical for a number of nations and cultures. It is necessary for bride to wear to her wedding some new thing, some blue thing and some borrowed thing. Something new is usually a present from her mother. It is like a mothers blessing and trespassing of her wisdom. Something blue is a symbol of love, loyalty and innocence. And something borrowed should be borrowed from a married woman who lives happily in her marriage.
