According to Namibian wedding customs the just married have to stay indoors during several days after their wedding. So, the food guests bring them is a food provided them in order they were okay staying indoors.

The honey moon for Namibian just married is usually a honey moon spent in their native country. They have not enough money to travel abroad so they stay in their country. The honey moon is an event that should be performed for several times during life. Namibians believe that coming back to the place where they spent their honey moon will provide their relations with passion and love, in case those feelings fade away.
